Gundam Base Reveals New and Exclusive Gundam SEED FREEDOM RG Gunpla Set
Bandai has revealed a new Gundam Base exclusive Gunpla set that combines the RG 1/144 Akatsuki Gundam (Oowashi Unit) with the HG 1/144 Zeus Silhouette, while also introducing newly designed custom joint parts for enhanced stability.
The Gundam Base is Bandai’s official flagship destination for Gunpla fans around the world, offering exclusive model kits and limited-edition products that are only available through its stores and selected official channels.
The Akatsuki Gundam appears in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny as Orb’s golden mobile suit, renowned for its reflective Yata no Kagami armor and regal appearance, while the Zeus Silhouette is the massive support equipment introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM.
This special release brings the two kits together in a single package, allowing builders to recreate the impressive Zeus Silhouette-equipped Akatsuki seen in the movie without needing to source the two kits separately.
Newly designed custom hip joint parts are included in the kit and can be installed to strengthen the connection when the Zeus Silhouette is attached, improving stability and making it easier to achieve more dynamic action poses.
The Real Grade Akatsuki Gundam features three different shades of gold plating to recreate the brilliant appearance of its Yata no Kagami armor, while dedicated connection parts allow the HG Zeus Silhouette to be mounted securely onto the kit.
The Zeus Silhouette retains its imposing size and heavily armed appearance, allowing builders to transform the Akatsuki Gundam into its striking form seen in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM.
The RG 1/144 Gundam Base Limited Akatsuki Gundam (Oowashi Unit) & HG 1/144 Zeus Silhouette + Custom Joint Parts Set is priced at ¥16,500 (approx. $110 USD / £82 GBP) and will be available exclusively through Gundam Base stores.
The exclusive set is scheduled to go on sale in Japan on August 8, 2026, with availability at Gundam Base stores internationally set to vary.
