The Vermilion Mask Anime Premiering October 2026 On Crunchyroll
The official website and social media accounts for the upcoming anime adaptation of The Vermilion Mask have released a new teaser trailer and key visual on March 26, 2026.
The production committee announced that the series is scheduled to premiere in Japan in October 2026 and will be broadcast across two split cours.
Global streaming platform Crunchyroll has also confirmed that it will stream the series for international audiences upon its release.
The project is being directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe, known for his work on Blue Lock, at the animation studio 100studio.
Daisuke Ohigashi, who worked on Fate/strange Fake, is handling the series composition, while Hisashi Tojima of Mashle: Magic and Muscles provides the character designs.
The musical score for the fantasy series is being composed by Alisa Okehazama, whose previous credits include the hit series The Apothecary Diaries.
The anime is based on the original manga written by Dr Poro and illustrated by Nabana Naba, which first began its serialization in Young King Ours magazine in February 2021.
Since its debut, the manga has seen eight collected volumes released in Japan as of early 2026.
The story centers on Peru, a student of the legendary mask maker Gaston Roux, who becomes possessed by the dangerous Mask of the Warrior God.
After unintentionally causing a tragedy that claims the lives of his friends and master, Peru embarks on a journey to find and destroy all of Gaston’s magical masks.
The plot follows Peru as he confronts his past sins while meeting new allies and facing powerful enemies in a world where masks grant users immense power.
