Starbites Heading West This May 21

Publisher NIS America and developer IKINAGAMES have announced that the science fiction turn-based RPG STARBITES will launch in the West on May 21, 2026.
The title is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
This western release follows the game’s initial debut in Japan, which took place on October 16, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch.
Players can currently pre order an $89.99 limited edition through the NIS America Online Store.
This special package includes a physical copy of the game, a collector’s box, an art book, and an original soundtrack CD.
The bundle is rounded out with physical collectibles, including an acrylic stand, three rubber keychains, and a set of six metal pins.
Set on the desert planet Bitter, the story follows a young salvager named Lukida who seeks to escape the remnants of an interstellar war.
The narrative shifts when a giant robot attack forces Lukida and her allies to confront the mysteries of their world.
Gameplay involves exploring vast desert landscapes atop customizable Motorbots, with each character possessing a machine tailored to their personality.
The combat utilizes a turn-based system featuring a Fracture mechanic to break enemy guards and a Driver’s High mode for extra turns.
Exploration and combat are designed to reveal the truth of events that occurred on the planet 45 years ago.
