Square Enix Announces Massive New Final Fantasy XIV Soundtrack Collection

Square Enix has announced a brand-new original soundtrack celebrating the music of Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 7.x series, bringing together the unforgettable score from the Dawntrail expansion’s post-launch journey into a single Blu-ray collection.

“TRAIL TO THE HEAVENS: FINAL FANTASY XIV Original Soundtrack” features the musical highlights from Patch 7.1 “Crossroads” through Patch 7.5 “The Promise of Tomorrow,” allowing players to revisit many of the expansion’s most memorable moments through its sweeping soundtrack.

Final Fantasy XIV remains one of the world’s most successful MMORPGs, with the Dawntrail expansion continuing to expand its universe through new regions, characters, large-scale battles, dungeons, raids, and story chapters released throughout the 7.x update cycle.

The music created for these updates has played a central role in shaping each new adventure, accompanying everything from emotional story sequences to intense boss encounters and expansive exploration across the game’s evolving world.

The new soundtrack features a total of 79 tracks collected onto a single Blu-ray Disc Music release, while also including additional bonus MP3 content.

The collection serves as a companion to the recently announced FINAL FANTASY XIV: DAWNTRAIL | The Art of Succession – Relics of Eternity – art book, which celebrates the same Patch 7.1 through 7.5 period through approximately 1,000 illustrations, character artwork, equipment designs, raid concepts, dungeon artwork, Cosmic Exploration material and other development assets from the expansion.

Like the upcoming art book, the soundtrack captures another side of the Patch 7.x journey by preserving the music that accompanied players throughout the latest chapter of Dawntrail.

Each copy of the soundtrack also includes a serial code that unlocks the exclusive in-game item “Musical ‘Paca” for one eligible Final Fantasy XIV character.

Collectors purchasing through Amazon while supplies last will receive an exclusive Mega Jacket early purchase bonus.

Customers ordering through the Square Enix Official Shop and Square Enix e-STORE will instead receive an exclusive sleeve case while stocks remain available, with the final design currently still in production.

The TRAIL TO THE HEAVENS: FINAL FANTASY XIV Original Soundtrack Blu-ray is priced at ¥5,500 (approx. $38 USD / £28 GBP), with pre-orders now open ahead of its September 16, 2026 release.
