Square Enix Announces New Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail Art Book

Square Enix has announced a new official art book celebrating the ongoing world of Final Fantasy XIV, giving fans an extensive look at the visual development of the Dawntrail expansion’s post-launch content.
Titled “FINAL FANTASY XIV: DAWNTRAIL | The Art of Succession – Relics of Eternity -“, the upcoming volume gathers artwork created for patches 7.1 through 7.5 and presents a comprehensive archive of the expansion’s evolving world and characters.

Final Fantasy XIV continues to be one of the most successful MMORPGs in the world, with its Dawntrail expansion introducing a new chapter of adventures, regions, stories, and challenges for players across Eorzea and beyond.

Returning players and lore enthusiasts alike have seen a wealth of new content arrive throughout the 7.x patch cycle, including fresh characters, large-scale encounters, new equipment designs, and additional side activities.

The new “FINAL FANTASY XIV: DAWNTRAIL | The Art of Succession – Relics of Eternity -” art book brings those visual elements together in a single collection containing approximately 1,000 illustrations and design materials.

Among the featured content are image artworks, character designs, material from the Arcadion raid series, artwork related to Echoes of Vana’diel, dungeon and trial concepts, Cosmic Exploration visuals, equipment designs, minions, mounts, and a wide variety of other assets created throughout the patch cycle.

The art book is A4 sized and spans 304 pages, offering readers an in-depth look at the creative work behind some of the game’s most recent content updates.

As an added bonus, purchasers will receive an item code that unlocks the in-game minion “Sweet Cat” for use within Final Fantasy XIV.

“FINAL FANTASY XIV: DAWNTRAIL | The Art of Succession – Relics of Eternity -” is scheduled to launch on December 15 and is now available to pre-orders for for ¥3,630 (approx. $25 USD/£18 GBP) via the official Square Enix online store.

Square Enix has also confirmed that customers purchasing through the Square Enix store will receive a folded A2-size original poster while supplies last, with one poster included per book.
