Sanrio’s New Halloween Ceramic Collection Arrives Just In Time for Spooky Season
Image by Charlotte DavisSanrio US has launched a new curated collection of six of Blue Sky Clayworks’ best Hello Kitty and Friends Halloween ceramics, featuring haunted trees, pumpkin cafés, trick-or-treating characters, and one particularly mischievous Kuromi candy bowl.
The specially selected range is just a small part of Blue Sky’s much wider range of officially licensed Hello Kitty and Friends ceramics, which includes numerous Halloween decorations alongside seasonal designs for other times of the year.
Blue Sky Clayworks has specialized in hand-cast and hand-painted ceramics for almost three decades, with its Hello Kitty and Friends partnership producing everything from candle houses and figurines to teapots, mugs, and larger decorative pieces.
The six items selected by Sanrio lean heavily into the company’s more elaborate Halloween designs, with several large centerpiece decorations joined by smaller character-focused pieces that are easier to fit into an existing seasonal display.
The biggest release is the “Hello Kitty and Friends Pumpkin Cafe Latte Candle House,” a $108 decoration that transforms a giant pumpkin into a cozy autumn café surrounded by Hello Kitty and her friends.
Standing approximately 26 cm tall, the hand-painted ceramic uses pumpkins, café details, and warm fall colors throughout, while a flameless tealight can be placed inside to illuminate the building from within.
A second illuminated display takes the collection in a spookier direction, with the $90 “Hello Kitty and Friends Halloween Tree Ceramic Candle House” gathering Hello Kitty, Kuromi, My Melody and Cinnamoroll around a crooked Halloween tree.
Jack-o’-lanterns, orange bows, purple stars, autumn leaves, and a “Happy Halloween” banner decorate the approximately 25 cm tall piece, which can also be illuminated using a flameless tealight.
For something more character-focused, the $64 “Hello Kitty and Friends Trick or Treat Truck Ceramic Figurine” puts Hello Kitty behind the wheel of a purple truck with My Melody, Cinnamoroll and Chococat joining her for a night of Halloween fun.
The approximately 22 cm long scene fills the back of the truck with pumpkins and gives the group matching seasonal details, making it one of the busiest character arrangements among the six selected pieces.
Kuromi gets the most practical item with the $42 “Jack-O-Lantern Lidded Ceramic Candy Bowl,” placing her on top of a grinning orange pumpkin that opens to hold Halloween candy or other small treats.
Hello Kitty embraces a more traditional Halloween role with the $40 “Witchy Ceramic Wind Chime,” which shows her flying on a broomstick while wearing a star-covered witch hat.
A pumpkin, ghost, skull, and bat hang beneath her as individual charms, giving the approximately 33 cm decoration considerably more movement than the static figurines and candle houses elsewhere in the selection.
The smallest piece is the $16 “Hello Kitty Halloween Trick or Treat Ghost Ceramic Figurine,” dressing Hello Kitty in a simple white ghost costume while she carries a treat bag ready for trick-or-treating.
All six featured Blue Sky Clayworks Halloween ceramics can now be ordered directly through Sanrio’s official US online store.
