Sanrio characters become sweet treats in new collectible charm line

Bandai has announced a new line of collectible charms featuring some of Sanrio’s most popular characters.
The “Sanrio Characters Lollipop Candy Charm Collection” is being released as a “shokugan,” or candy toy.

Shokugan are a popular and long-standing category of products in Japan, consisting of a small, collectible toy or accessory that is packaged and sold along with a piece of confectionery.
This new collection features a lineup of seven different charms, measuring approximately 8 x 4 cm, each designed to look like a realistic, chocolate-dipped lollipop.

They are presented in a blister package, which allows them to be displayed as a collectible item even without being opened.
Each individual pack contains one of the seven possible character charms, as well as a single piece of soda-flavored gum.
The lineup of characters featured in the collection includes some of Sanrio’s most well-known figures.
The full character list is as follows:
- Hello Kitty

- My Melody

- Kuromi

- Cinnamoroll

- Pompompurin

- Pochacco

- Hangyodon

Pre-orders for the new collection have opened on Bandai’s official online shopping site, Premium Bandai, where the product is being sold as a box of twelve individual packs.
Bandai has noted that purchasing one complete box will guarantee that you receive all seven different character designs, with five of the charms in the box being duplicates.
The product is not a Premium Bandai exclusive and will be available at other hobby goods retailers and variety stores across Japan upon its general release.
The price for a 12-piece box is ¥3,960 via Premium Bandai, however pricing at other retailers may vary as the price is not fixed.
Shipping/general release for the “Sanrio Characters Lollipop Candy Charm Collection” is set for December 2025.
