Sanrio characters and sushi combine for new series of adorable plush toys

Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. is releasing a new line of plush toys that combines the world of Sanrio with the theme of sushi.
The new collection, “Sanrio Characters Chokkorisan Sushi-sushi-,” is an adaptation of a previously released “Sanrio Character Sushi” capsule toy series.

This new version brings the designs to the company’s popular “Chokkorisan” line of plush toys.
“Chokkorisan” is a series of plushies that are designed to sit upright, allowing for a variety of display choices.

Their stable, seated posture allows them to be perched on the edge of a shelf or desk, and their arms are designed to be hooked over ledges or to hold small items like pens.
This new collection features five popular Sanrio characters, each carrying a different piece of sushi “neta,” or topping, on their back.
The full lineup of characters includes:
- Hello Kitty

- Pochacco

- My Melody

- Cinnamoroll

- Keroppi

The plush toys offer a cute and charming fusion of the iconic characters with one of Japan’s most famous cuisines.
Each of the five different plush toys is priced at ¥2,420 (approx. $16 USD/£12 GBP).
The “Sanrio Characters Chokkorisan Sushi-sushi-” collection is scheduled to be released on Saturday, the 9th of August, 2025 through a variety of retailers, including Amazon Japan.
