Square Enix and Roland Reveal New Official Final Fantasy Gaming Audio Mixer
Image by Charlotte DavisJapanese audio equipment manufacturer Roland has officially revealed a new Final Fantasy XIV gaming audio mixer, allowing fans to play familiar in-game sounds during voice chats and livestreams through a special collaboration with Square Enix.
The “BRIDGE CAST FINAL FANTASY XIV Edition” features exclusive artwork of Alpha and Omega, alongside built-in sound effects from the popular MMORPG and professional audio controls designed for gaming and streaming.

Final Fantasy XIV originally launched in 2010 before being rebuilt and relaunched as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn in 2013, establishing the foundation for the game’s continued expansion into one of the world’s most successful MMORPGs.

Set across the fantasy world of Eorzea and its surrounding regions, the game follows the adventures of the Warrior of Light, with players taking part in a sprawling storyline alongside dungeons, challenging raids, and other multiplayer activities.

The game has also inspired numerous official merchandise collaborations, including a 27-piece fashion collection developed with Italian brand DIESEL earlier in 2026, featuring clothing and accessories based on the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, the Mothercrystal and other familiar elements.

For this new collaboration, Roland has adapted its existing BRIDGE CAST gaming audio mixer for Final Fantasy XIV, adding custom designs and functions inspired by the game.
The device’s top panel features specially drawn illustrations of Alpha, the small Chocobo introduced during the game’s Omega raid storyline, alongside the powerful mechanical being Omega itself.

Created by illustrator and character designer Toshiyuki Itahana, the artwork is accompanied by Final Fantasy XIV’s iconic Meteor symbol, with a matching design also appearing on the product’s exclusive packaging.
Even the mixer’s LED lighting has been customized to reflect the game’s combat roles, using blue for Tanks, green for Healers, and red for DPS, allowing fans to incorporate familiar colors into their gaming setups.

One of the collaboration’s biggest features is the inclusion of two official Final Fantasy XIV sound effects that can be triggered directly from the device.
The first is the familiar Duty Finder matching chime, commonly heard when players successfully find a party for a dungeon, trial, or other multiplayer activity.
The second recreates the sound played when a F.A.T.E. (Full Active Time Event) begins, referring to the open-world encounters that allow players to participate in special battles and other activities across Eorzea.

Both effects can be activated with a single button press during voice chats or livestreams, allowing players to reproduce some of the game’s most familiar audio cues when communicating with friends or viewers.
Alongside these exclusive additions, the mixer retains the features of Roland’s standard BRIDGE CAST, which originally launched in January 2023.
Its dual-bus audio system allows users to create separate sound mixes for their own headphones and their livestream audience, making it possible to adjust game audio, voice chat, and microphone levels independently.

Physical knobs and buttons provide direct control over these settings, allowing players to make adjustments during gameplay without switching between different software windows.
The device also includes a high-performance microphone preamp supporting professional XLR microphones, with up to 75 dB of gain and phantom power for compatible condenser microphones.
Additional audio processing tools include a noise suppressor, compressor, de-esser, and equalizer, alongside virtual surround sound and customizable presets that can emphasize specific in-game sounds.

Roland has also included its Voice Changer technology, allowing players to adjust the pitch and characteristics of their voices to create different effects during gaming sessions and online conversations.
The mixer connects to compatible computers and devices through USB-C, with further customization available through Roland’s dedicated BRIDGE CAST application.
Fans attending the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo will be able to see the collaboration in person, with Roland planning to display the mixer at its booth during the October 31 and November 1 event at Makuhari Messe.

Pre-orders for the “BRIDGE CAST FINAL FANTASY XIV Edition” opened in Europe on October 21, 2026, through participating retailers.
Japanese pre-orders are scheduled to begin on October 31 through the Square Enix e-STORE and selected electronics retailers, ahead of the country’s official release on December 12, 2026.
For US fans, the mixer will be priced at $329.99, and pre-orders will officially open through participating retailers on November 1, 2026, with the launch date set for December 1.
