Sanrio and Arctic Fox Reveal New Hello Kitty and Friends Hair Color Collection

Sanrio is teaming up with semi-permanent dye brand Arctic Fox for a new hair color collection inspired by Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi and Pompompurin.
The limited-edition “Hello Kitty and Friends by Arctic Fox” collection pairs each character with a shade chosen to reflect their personality and visual style.
Only one of the four is an entirely new Arctic Fox color, with Hello Kitty receiving the exclusive bubblegum-pink “Strawberry Milk,” while the other three use existing shades under new collaboration names and Sanrio-themed packaging.
Arctic Fox specializes in highly pigmented semi-permanent hair color designed for at-home use, with the collaboration retaining its vegan and cruelty-free formula without peroxide, ammonia or PPD.

- “Strawberry Milk” inspired by Hello Kitty – $18.50
Hello Kitty receives the collection’s only completely new shade, a creamy bubblegum pink designed to produce its brightest result on a level 10 platinum-blonde base.
Arctic Fox recommends it for anyone looking for an especially bright pink that still leans into a sweet and playful aesthetic, positioning it as the collection’s boldest choice for fans of softer candy-inspired colors.
- “Hot Pink Glaze” inspired by My Melody – $18.50
My Melody is paired with Arctic Fox’s existing Virgin Pink shade, which has been renamed “Hot Pink Glaze” and given special-edition packaging featuring the Sanrio character.
The vibrant hot pink is recommended for hair at level 7 dark blonde or lighter and is aimed at anyone who wants a strong pink that still feels playful and approachable rather than overpowering.
- “Midnight Snack” inspired by Kuromi – $18.50
Kuromi is paired with the existing Transylvania shade, repackaged for the collaboration under the name “Midnight Snack”.
The blue-based black is intended for anyone looking for a darker and more dramatic color with visible depth and shine, matching Kuromi’s mix of cute styling and rebellious edge.
- “Happy Fry-Day” inspired by Pompompurin – $18.50
Pompompurin is matched with Arctic Fox’s existing Cosmic Sunshine shade, which appears here as “Happy Fry-Day” in character-themed packaging.
The warm golden-yellow produces its strongest results on level 10 platinum-blonde hair and is recommended for anyone wanting a bold but wearable color with the bright, cheerful feel of golden-hour light.
Each color is also available as a $45 character set containing two tubes of the matching dye and a themed cosmetic bag based on Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi or Pompompurin.
In a separate hair-care collaboration earlier this summer, Hello Kitty and My Melody appeared in Essential’s 50th anniversary collection, which also included Usahana across shampoos, conditioners and treatments.
Sanrio then launched a new official skincare and beauty collection in September featuring Hello Kitty, My Melody and Kuromi alongside several other characters across face treatments, mirrors, cosmetic storage and hair brushes.
The “Hello Kitty and Friends by Arctic Fox” collection is available now through Arctic Fox’s official US online store, with individual dyes priced at $18.50 and the two-dye cosmetic bag sets priced at $45 each.
