Resident Evil Requiem dominates 2025’s “gamescom awards” with four wins

Capcom has announced that its upcoming title Resident Evil Requiem was the most-awarded game at the recent “gamescom award 2025.”
The awards are a major part of gamescom, the massive video game trade fair held in Germany, and are decided by a combination of votes from industry experts and the general public.

Resident Evil Requiem, the next major installment in the legendary survival horror franchise, had its world’s first playable demo at the event.

The game’s impressive showing and the positive reception from those who played the demo resulted in it winning a total of four awards.

The new title was honored with the “Most Epic” award, which is given to the game that provides the most breathtaking and intense experience.

It also secured wins in three other major categories.

In addition to the success of the new game, Capcom as a company was also honored at the event.

Resident Evil Requiem is a survival horror game scheduled for release on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The game is scheduled to be released on Friday, the 27th of February, 2026.
