Reincarnated As A Sword Season 2 Confirms October 2026 Release
NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan officially announced during an AnimeJapan 2026 stage event on March 28, 2026, that the second season of Reincarnated as a Sword will premiere in October 2026.
The announcement was accompanied by a brand new trailer that confirms the return of the central characters Fran and Master for their next set of adventures.
The series is based on the light novels by Yu Yanaka and Ruroo, which are published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The story follows a man reincarnated as a sentient magical sword who rescues a young beastgirl named Fran from slavery, leading the duo on a quest to discover the sword’s origins and help Fran grow stronger.
Shinji Ishihira, known for his work on TSUKIMICHI Moonlit Fantasy, is returning to direct the new season at animation studio C2C.
The production team includes series compositor Takahiro Nagano and character designer Atsuko Saito, who previously worked on the sub-character designs for Shangri-La Frontier Season 2.
Yasuharu Takanashi, the composer behind the music for Fairy Tail, is set to provide the musical score for the upcoming season.
Additional staff members for the project include assistant director Kazunobu Shimizu, master designer Shinyua Asanuma, and art director Masahiro Sato.
