Gundam Hathaway’s Largest Gunpla Kit Officially Returns for New Re-Release
One of the biggest Gunpla released for Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway is officially returning to production, giving builders another chance to pick up the massive kit following its debut earlier this year.
The “HG 1/144 Alyzeus” recreates the TX-ff104 Alyzeus introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, standing approximately 25 cm tall despite being part of Bandai’s 1/144 scale High Grade lineup.
Image by Charlotte DavisThe kit first launched in April 2026 and was developed entirely from new molds, with Bandai placing particular emphasis on its size, color separation, articulation, and extensive transformation gimmicks.
Alyzeus hides a Mass Production Type Nu Gundam beneath its huge outer armor, with the “HG 1/144 Alyzeus” marking the first time that particular mobile suit had been turned into an official Gunpla, giving it a newly sculpted body with sub-arms hidden inside the front skirt armor that can deploy beam sabers.
Builders can rearrange and exchange parts to display the kit in four different configurations, covering its standard MS Form, high-speed Flight Form, battle-damaged Alyzeus Half-Destroyed State, and the separated Mass Production Type Nu Gundam.
Parts of the remaining Alyzeus armor can also be attached to the separated mobile suit, with the left shoulder equipment and shelf nozzles creating a silhouette that deliberately recalls the original Nu Gundam and its fin funnels.
Its weapons and accessories include a prototype beam rifle, two beam sabers, additional armor parts, interchangeable hands, and a dedicated display base designed to support the considerable weight of its different forms.
The Alyzeus originally arrived alongside Bandai’s updated “HG 1/144 Xi Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe)”, which reworked Hathaway Noa’s mobile suit with equipment and details based on its appearance in the second movie.
Bandai has continued expanding the movie’s Gunpla lineup since then, with more recent additions including a new Gustav Karl 00 Type Commander Type that introduced a newly molded head and long-barreled rifle for the Earth Federation machine.
The Sorcery of Nymph Circe also reached North American cinemas earlier in 2026, giving US audiences their first theatrical opportunity to see the second part of the Hathaway trilogy.
The latest Japanese production run of the “HG 1/144 Alyzeus” retains its ¥13,200 price (approximately $84 / £63), with new stock now available through retailers such as Premium Bandai and Amazon.
No new US re-release has been confirmed at this stage, although the Alyzeus has previously been sold through Premium Bandai US, raising the possibility that this latest production run could eventually see the kit return for American builders as well.
