Bandai’s New HG Xi Gundam Gunpla Kit Prepares for Launch
Bandai Hobby has officially released a brand new plastic model kit based on the animated film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe.
The “HG 1/144 Xi Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe)” brings the iconic lead mecha to life with extensive new features.
Gunpla enthusiasts have eagerly awaited this launch since the initial promotional images were revealed earlier this year.
The ongoing Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway film series follows the complex journey of Hathaway Noa as he leads the anti-Earth Federation organization known as Mafty.
As the latest movie reaches its thrilling climax, Noa pilots the Xi Gundam into increasingly intense atmospheric battles.
This new Gunpla kit release faithfully captures the unique mechanical design seen throughout the latest cinematic installment.
When fully assembled, the impressive scale model stands at approximately 18cm tall.
Builders will find several brand new weapon accessories included in the box to help recreate specific memorable scenes from the movie.
The kit contains a newly designed beam rifle barrel holder, a battle-damaged defensive shield, and specialized manipulator hand parts.
Two different options are also provided for constructing the head of the robot.
Fans can choose to attach the standard headpiece or swap it out for the special Gundam Face version that appears during the final moments of the story.
Beyond the impressive array of physical accessories, the figure includes a complex transformation gimmick.
By carefully swapping and rearranging specific parts, collectors can seamlessly shift the unit between its standard Mobile Suit form and its high-speed Flight form.
The HG 1/144 Xi Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe) is priced at 7,700 yen (approx. $50 USD / £40 GBP) and officially launches on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
