Square Enix Reveals Final Fantasy X’s Surprisingly Affordable New Tidus Scale Figure

Final Fantasy X fans have finally been given a proper look at Taito’s new prize figure of Tidus after his design was kept hidden when the project was first announced earlier this year.
The roughly 1/7 scale “Final Fantasy X AM Tidus Scale Figure” recreates the game’s protagonist in his normal outfit and will serve as the companion piece to Taito’s matching Yuna prize figure.

Tidus is introduced in Final Fantasy X as a star Blitzball player from Zanarkand whose life is upended when the city is attacked by the enormous creature known as Sin.

After finding himself in the unfamiliar world of Spira, he joins summoner Yuna and her guardians on their pilgrimage to defeat Sin, with their journey and developing relationship becoming the emotional center of the 2001 RPG.
When Taito first unveiled its matching Yuna scale prize figure earlier this year, Tidus had already been confirmed as the second half of the pair, but his appearance was concealed behind redacted prototype imagery.

The finished design now shows Tidus standing approximately 25cm tall and facing directly forward with his left hand resting on his hip.
He wears the outfit associated with him throughout Final Fantasy X, including his cropped yellow jacket and white hood, asymmetric dark shorts, blue armor covering his left shoulder and arm, Zanarkand Abes pendant and yellow-and-black footwear.

The figure is similar in size to Taito’s Yuna release and continues the manufacturer’s move toward larger Final Fantasy arcade prizes with proportions and presentation closer to traditional scale figures.
The pair arrives during Final Fantasy X’s 25th anniversary year, which has already produced a wide range of new merchandise based on Tidus and Yuna.

That has included a limited-edition watch collection inspired by both protagonists, alongside new figures, plush toys, music releases and other commemorative merchandise.

The “Final Fantasy X AM Tidus Scale Figure” is scheduled to begin appearing as a crane game prize at amusement centers across Japan on October 31, 2026.
Independent third-party retailers and importers are however offering the figure outside Japanese arcades, with HobbyLink Japan listing it at $22.19, although availability and pricing will vary depending on retailer and region.
