Square Enix Reveals New Final Fantasy X 25th Anniversary Watch Collab Collection Inspired by Tidus and Yuna
Image by James RichardsonSquare Enix and Swiss watch brand Tendence have officially revealed two limited-edition watches celebrating the 25th anniversary of the classic RPG Final Fantasy X.
The new “FINAL FANTASY X 25th Anniversary Collaboration” collection features separate designs inspired by Tidus and Yuna, incorporating their signature weapons, personal symbols and colors into a pair of premium commemorative watches.
Final Fantasy X originally launched for PlayStation 2 in July 2001, introducing players to the world of Spira and a story that would become one of the most celebrated entries in Square Enix’s long-running RPG series.
The game follows Tidus, a star Blitzball player transported to Spira after his home city of Zanarkand is attacked by Sin, a colossal creature that has terrorized the world for generations.
He soon joins Yuna, a young summoner undertaking a pilgrimage to defeat Sin, with their developing relationship forming the emotional center of the adventure.
Final Fantasy X celebrated its 25th anniversary on July 19, 2026, with Square Enix marking the occasion through new merchandise, music releases, exhibitions and other commemorative projects.
Tendence was established in Switzerland in 2007 and is known for its oversized watches and unconventional designs, including collaborations inspired by popular anime and games.
The brand recently announced the return of its sold-out One Piece Log Pose and East Blue watches, bringing back two designs originally released in 2018 with their unusual moving dials and domed crystals.
The new Final Fantasy X watches are based on Tendence’s “De’Color” series, which uses color gradients extending across the case, dial and strap to create a coordinated design.
Tidus’s watch features an ice-blue and white gradient inspired by the sea and sky, reflecting his connection to Blitzball and the coastal environments of Spira.
Its hour hand is modeled after Brotherhood, the distinctive blue sword given to Tidus by Wakka, while the minute hand takes inspiration from Caladbolg, his powerful Celestial Weapon.
A yellow hand incorporates a miniature Blitzball motif at its tip, and the center of the dial displays the emblem of the Zanarkand Abes, the team Tidus played for before arriving in Spira.
Yuna’s watch takes a softer approach, blending pink, yellow and blue into a pastel gradient inspired by the summoner’s gentle personality and the colors associated with her journey.
The hour hand is based on Yuna’s Nirvana staff, while the minute hand recreates elements of the Magistral Rod, with both designs incorporating details inspired by her weapons from the game.
A floral ornament based on the decoration attached to Yuna’s obi appears at the center of the dial, which uses a pearlescent finish that changes its appearance depending on the angle of the light.
Both watches retain the oversized numerals associated with Tendence’s De’Color collection, with the Tidus design using a larger 5 cm case and Yuna’s version measuring approximately 4.1 cm across.
The watches use quartz movements, aluminum cases, mineral-glass crystals and silicone straps, with water resistance rated to 10 atmospheres.
Each model also comes with a specially designed presentation sleeve created for the anniversary collaboration.
The new watches join an expanding selection of Final Fantasy X anniversary merchandise, including a second wave of official Tidus and Yuna accessories revealed by Square Enix earlier this year.
That collection introduced everyday accessories inspired by the two protagonists, including a shoulder bag based on Tidus and a large tote bag featuring Yuna’s design.
Square Enix also recently opened pre-orders for a new 1/6.5-scale Yuna figure, recreating the summoner in her traditional outfit as part of its premium figure collection developed with Good Smile Company.
Only 200 pieces of each Tendence watch will be produced worldwide, with every example featuring an individual serial number to identify its place in the limited production run.
The Tidus model, designated TY146110, will be priced at ¥69,300 (approximately $438 / £329), while the Yuna model, TY933010, will cost ¥53,900 (approximately $341 / £256).
Pre-orders will open through Tendence’s official website on October 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM JST, with both watches scheduled for release on November 20, 2026.
