POP MART’s LABUBU Transforms into a Giant Mecha for New CHOGOKIN Release

Bandai Spirits’ TAMASHII NATIONS division has partnered with POP MART to create a unique addition to the long-running CHOGOKIN die-cast toy lineup, reimagining the popular LABUBU character as a fully realized robot.
The project brings together the iconic mechanical styling of the CHOGOKIN brand with the whimsical world created by artist Kasing Lung.

Developed around the concept of imagining LABUBU as a giant machine from its own dreams, the collectible transforms the character into an imposing mecha packed with interactive features.

The figure was produced under the supervision of Kasing Lung and features design work by JNTHED.
Constructed using a combination of die-cast metal, ABS, and PVC materials, the robot stands approximately 21 cm tall when measured to the tips of its ears.

The design merges LABUBU’s recognizable appearance with detailed mechanical engineering, creating a balance between playful character design and classic robot aesthetics.

One of the figure’s standout features is its translucent half-cut armor sections, which allow collectors to view the intricate internal mechanical framework beneath the exterior.

Light-up eyes further enhance the display, adding an animated presence to the robot.

The main cockpit can be opened to reveal an interior capable of seating miniature LABUBU figures in both brown and white color variations, as well as the character TYCOCO.

An additional miniature slide accessory is included and can be attached directly to the abdominal cockpit area or mounted separately on the display stand.

This feature creates a playful environment where the included mini characters can interact with the robot.
The display base itself incorporates extra functionality, opening to provide storage space for accessories and small components while also serving as a themed hideout or meeting place for the miniature figures.

The jetpack mounted on the robot’s back includes its own cockpit section, expanding the figure’s play and display possibilities.

Collectors can also equip the included jet-effect parts and support stand to recreate an airborne display configuration that showcases the robot in flight.

Pre-orders are currently being accepted through Premium Bandai, with the CHOGOKIN LABUBU scheduled for release in January 2027 at a retail price of 24,200 yen (approx. $165 USD/ £122 GBP).
