Exclusive RG Z’Gok Gunpla Kit Gets First US Re-Release In 5 Years
Premium Bandai US has opened pre-orders for the exclusive RG 1/144 Z’Gok, bringing the mass-production version of Zeon’s amphibious Mobile Suit back to the Real Grade lineup for the first time since 2021.
This release recreates the standard MSM-07 Z’Gok from Mobile Suit Gundam rather than Char Aznable’s red MSM-07S custom unit, replacing its commander colors with the familiar blue and green shades associated with the mass-produced model.
Developed by the Principality of Zeon for underwater operations, the Z’Gok became one of the original series’ most recognizable aquatic Mobile Suits and appeared across several battles involving Zeon’s amphibious forces.
The model kit was originally released as a Premium Bandai exclusive in 2015, with a second release in 2021, and uses the core construction of the RG Char’s Z’Gok while introducing molded colors, markings, and display details created specifically for the mass-production version.
Its rounded armor has been divided into numerous individual sections to add the dense mechanical detail associated with the Real Grade line without losing the unusual silhouette of the original anime design.
An Advanced MS Joint internal frame sits beneath the armor and supports the Z’Gok’s segmented arms and legs, allowing it to be displayed in underwater movement poses or low combat stances on land.
Builders can choose between three-claw and four-claw configurations for the forearms, with interchangeable components included to recreate the alternative arrangement.
The mono-eye can also be repositioned beneath the head armor, while the cockpit hatch and segmented limbs add further mechanical detail to the completed model.
Realistic decals and mass-production unit markings are provided as tetron seals, alongside a newly designed 1/144-scale figure representing a regular Zeon soldier rather than Char Aznable.
The RG 1/144 Z’Gok is available to pre-order now through Premium Bandai US
for $38.00, with orders scheduled to close on November 16, 2026, at 2:59 a.m. EST unless the available allocation is reached earlier.
Orders are currently scheduled to ship in December 2026.
