Nitroplus Game “Dolls Nest” Inspires New Manga Series

The upcoming manga adaptation of the popular mecha girl game Dolls Nest will soon debut, as revealed by Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine.
Titled Dolls Nest: ORPHANS, the new series is set to launch on Kadokawa’s Young Ace Up manga website this March.

This project pairs manga artist Nykken, who will provide the art, with writer Satoshi Maejima, who is crafting the script.
Maejima is a recognized figure in the writing world, while Nykken is familiar to the platform’s readership, having recently concluded the serialization of the Toxic Super Beasts (Yūgai Chōjū) manga.

That four-volume series finished its run in October and saw its final collected book volume published by Kadokawa the following month.
The manga has also been licensed by Titan Manga for English release, with the third volume scheduled to reach Western audiences in late April.
The source material, Dolls Nest, is a 3D action game from Nitroplus and its graphics production team Nitro Arts.

The game first became available for PC players via Steam in April of last year. It invites players to take command of a mecha girl exploring a gigantic, complex factory set in the world of Hod.

The primary objective is a journey of discovery, challenging players to uncover the truth hidden within the facility.

The transition of this intense 3D action experience into a manga format has generated significant buzz among fans of the science fiction and mecha genres.
