Dandelion Anime Releases New Creditless Theme Song Video

Netflix has officially announced that the anime adaptation of Hideaki Sorachi’s one-shot manga, Dandelion, will premiere globally on April 16, 2026.
To build anticipation for the upcoming release, a creditless version of the opening theme song sequence was shared on April 2, 2026.

The opening features the song Goron to Doron performed by Kocchi no Kento.
This project brings the debut work of the Gintama creator to the screen, originally published in Weekly Shonen Jump after receiving an honorable mention at the 2002 Tenkaichi Manga Award.
The story follows the Send-Off Department of the Japanese Angel Federation, which is responsible for guiding earthbound spirits to the afterlife.

It focuses on Tetsuo Tanba and Misaki Kurogane of the 21st Division’s Dandelion Clan as they take a patient, empathetic approach to resolving the regrets of the deceased.
Their routine is challenged when they encounter the spirit of an elderly man who is desperately attempting to flee.
Production of the anime will be handled by studio NAZ under the direction of Daisuke Mataga.
The creative team includes Yosuke Suzuki for series composition, Ai Asari for character designs, and Yuki Hayashi for the musical score.
