New Trailer for Netflix’s One Piece Shows Off Live Action Baroque Works

The second season of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s globally popular manga, “One Piece”, is rapidly approaching, with a new teaser trailer titled “One Piece: Into the Grand Line” having been released.
The trailer offers viewers a glimpse of the new cast members joining the series and showcased important new locations, including a visual for the iconic Reverse Mountain.
The upcoming season will pick up immediately where the first left off, following the Straw Hat Pirates’ journey up to and including the Drum Island arc.

This encompasses several crucial sagas from the source material, including the introduction to the Grand Line at Loguetown, the treacherous sailing past Reverse Mountain and Twin Cape, and the conflict at Whiskey Peak and Little Garden, all leading up to the emotional and fan-favorite Drum Island storyline.

Production for the second season successfully concluded after beginning in the summer.

Behind the scenes, the show has added Joe Tracz (“Percy Jackson and the Olympians”) as a writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner, working alongside returning co-showrunner and executive producer Matt Owens.

Original Season One co-showrunner Steve Maeda will continue to serve as an executive producer.
Owens recently announced his decision to step away from the series after Season Two’s completion to prioritize his mental health, a move that gained widespread support from fans.

The live-action “One Piece” series originally premiered exclusively on Netflix. The first season consisted of eight episodes, fewer than the ten episodes that were initially expected.
The debut season garnered critical acclaim and won multiple accolades, including awards for “Outstanding Original Song for a Children’s or Young Teen Program” and “Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Live Program” at The 3rd Annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards.
