Popular Char’s Counterattack Gunpla Kit Gets First US Re-Release Since 2022
More than four years after its last Premium Bandai US preorder, the MG 1/100 Geara Doga (Rezin Schnyder’s Use) has returned for another exclusive release.
The Master Grade kit recreates the custom Geara Doga piloted by Neo Zeon ace Rezin Schnyder in Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack, setting the unit apart from the standard mass-production version with its distinctive blue color scheme.
Its bulky armor, commander-style head and contrasting blue, gray and yellow sections are reproduced through molded parts, allowing the mobile suit’s recognizable appearance to be assembled without requiring a full paint job.
The mono-eye can move from side to side and is compatible with a separately sold pink LED unit, while the power pipes around the body and legs use a softer material to recreate their flexible appearance.
Articulation throughout the body supports dynamic poses despite the Geara Doga’s heavy proportions, with Emotion Manipulator hands and interchangeable hand units included for holding its different weapons.
The weapon selection consists of two beam machine guns, a Sturm Faust, a shield and a beam sword-axe with three effect parts that allow it to be displayed as a sword, axe or pick.
The kit first launched through Premium Bandai in Japan in October 2013, with Japanese reissue batches following in October and November 2018 and another release shipping in November 2023.
Japan is also receiving another reissue scheduled to ship in September 2026, shortly before the newly announced US release reaches customers.
The last Premium Bandai US preorder was announced on April 14, 2022, making this the first official US opportunity to order the kit in more than four years.
Pre-orders for the MG 1/100 Geara Doga (Rezin Schnyder’s Use) opened through Premium Bandai US
on July 17, 2026, at 8:00 PM EDT and are scheduled to close on October 16, 2026, at 2:59 AM EDT, although ordering may end earlier if the available allocation sells out.
The Premium Bandai US exclusive is priced at $73.00 and is scheduled to ship in November 2026.
