Exclusive RX-78-2 Gundam Gaming Gear Bundle Announced by Logitech G
A new collaboration is giving Gundam fans the chance to rebuild their desktop around the colors and markings of the original series’ most iconic mobile suit.
Revealed at Bandai Namco Fun Expo 2026 in South Korea, the “Logitech G RX-78-2 Gundam Edition” bundle combines a keyboard, gaming mouse and wireless headset with coordinated accessories, custom packaging and exclusive collectibles.
The RX-78-2 Gundam is Amuro Ray’s signature mobile suit from the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, with its familiar white, blue, red and yellow color scheme becoming one of the franchise’s most recognizable visual identities.
Logitech G carries that appearance across the complete setup, using the RX-78-2’s primary colors alongside mechanical detailing and Earth Federation-inspired markings that help the peripherals feel like connected parts of the same collection.
The keyboard included in the bundle is a customized G512 X 98, combining a space-saving layout with most of the controls expected from a full-size gaming keyboard.
Its 39 Dual Swap switch positions use Tunnel Magnetoresistance sensors and can accommodate both analog switches and standard three-pin or five-pin mechanical switches, allowing players to adjust some of the keyboard’s most frequently used keys.
The G512 X 98 also supports true 8K polling for response times as low as 0.125 milliseconds, while a front-facing LIGHTSYNC RGB light bar adds customizable illumination through Logitech G HUB.
The matching G502 X Plus mouse brings the RX-78-2 theme to one of Logitech G’s most established designs, with a black or white variant available which features an outline of the iconic mobile suit alongside a range of other themed markings.
Performance features include LIGHTFORCE hybrid optical-mechanical switches, low-latency LIGHTSPEED wireless connectivity, and a HERO 25K optical sensor designed for highly precise tracking.
An eight-LED LIGHTSYNC RGB array supports approximately 16.8 million colors, while active play detection automatically reduces the lighting when covered by the user’s hand to conserve power.
The mouse can provide up to 130 hours of battery life with its lighting disabled or around 37 hours with RGB continuously active, and it is also compatible with Logitech G’s POWERPLAY wireless charging system.
Completing the main trio is the G522 LIGHTSPEED headset, which continues the RX-78-2 styling across its earcups and dedicated stand.
Synchronized PRO-G drivers are designed to separate overlapping audio layers while improving spatial accuracy, helping players identify the direction of footsteps, gunfire and other important sounds during games.
The headset supports LIGHTSPEED wireless, Bluetooth and wired USB-C connections, while its detachable 48 kHz, 16-bit microphone uses Logitech’s BLUE VO!CE processing for clearer communication and streaming audio.
Alongside the three peripherals, the limited bundle includes custom Gundam packaging, exclusive themed accessories and additional collectible items, although a complete breakdown of every bonus has not yet been provided by Logitech.
The collaboration was presented at Bandai Namco Fun Expo 2026, a free event running at COEX Magok in South Korea from July 30 through August 2 alongside Gunpla displays, limited merchandise, games and other Bandai Namco attractions.
The Logitech G RX-78-2 Gundam Edition bundle has a regular price of ₩786,900 (approx. $554 USD / £404 GBP), while visitors ordering through FUN EXPO can secure the set for ₩689,000 KRW (approx. $485 USD / £354 GBP), representing a 12 percent discount.
The FUN EXPO promotion also includes an additional bonus item and early shipping, with event orders expected to begin dispatching on September 3, 2026, one day before the planned general release.
Availability has currently only been detailed for South Korea, with no US, UK, or wider international release confirmed for the RX-78-2 Gundam Edition bundle at the time of writing.
