New Pokémon TCG Mini Figures Turn Popular Card Art Into Collectibles

The Pokemon Company has officially announced a new line of collectibles based on the hugely popular Pokémon Trading Card Game.
The “Pokemon Card Game Card Illustration Figure Collection” is set to turn the two-dimensional artwork featured in the TCG into three-dimensional display pieces.

The Pokemon Trading Card Game is a massive tabletop phenomenon that allows players to battle using decks constructed from their favorite monsters.

The overarching franchise originally launched in 1996 and quickly became a worldwide sensation through incredibly popular video games and animated television broadcasts.

The recent Scarlet and Violet era introduced the acclaimed “Pokemon Card 151” booster set, which serves as the creative base for the new mini figures.
This massive release honored the original roster of creatures from the Kanto region and featured a wide array of beautiful artwork.

Each box includes a highly detailed figure faithfully recreating the specific art style of the original illustrator.
Fans will also receive a special display frame base to showcase the figure alongside its corresponding physical trading card, which is included in the box.

It should however be noted by collectors that the included physical cards are not permitted for use in standard tournament play.
