New Hono No Tokyujo: Dodge Danko Trailer Confirms July 2026 Release

A teaser trailer was released on March 28, 2026, for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Hono no Tokyujo: Dodge Danko.

The series is based on the ongoing manga by Tetsuhiro Koshita and serves as a sequel to his 1989 work, Hono no Tokyuji: Dodge Danpei.

The story follows Danko Ichigeki, who is the daughter of the original protagonist, Danpei Ichigeki.

The production team confirmed that the anime is scheduled to begin its broadcast in July 2026.

Katsuyuki Konishi will provide the voice for the adult version of Danpei Ichigeki, while Tetsu Inada has been cast as Chinnen Kobotoke.

Main character Danko Ichigeki is voiced by Manaka Nakayama, with Kaori Maeda playing Chinko Kobotoke.

The supporting cast includes Akira Sekine as Mochiko Etai, Yo Taichi as Susan Canon, and Yu Sasahara as Honey Otohana.

Noriko Hidaka will serve as the narrator for the series, which is being produced at studio CUE.

Hiroshi Ikehata is directing the project, with Kazuho Hyodo handling series composition and Narihito Sekikawa providing character designs.

The original manga series ran from 1989 to 1995 in CoroCoro Comic and previously inspired a 47 episode anime that debuted in October 1991.

This sequel manga has been serialized on the Weekly CoroCoro Comic website since November 2022.
