IO Interactive Ceases Publishing Partnership with MindsEye

IO Interactive has officially announced the conclusion of its publishing partnership with developer Build A Rocket Boy regarding the action adventure title MindsEye.
Moving forward, Build A Rocket Boy will assume full publishing responsibilities for the game across all platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
This transition marks a significant shift for the project which originally launched on June 10, 2025 to a reception that was described as less than favorable.
As a direct result of this separation, the previously announced Hitman crossover event that was scheduled for release within MindsEye has been cancelled.
The crossover mission was first revealed in June 2025 and was intended to bridge the gap between the two gaming universes before the companies decided to part ways.
IOI Partners will cease all involvement with the title once essential transitional functions and publisher of record status have been transferred to the developer.
Both companies are currently working together to coordinate a seamless transition over the coming weeks to ensure continuity for the player community.
While the Hitman collaboration is no longer moving forward, Build A Rocket Boy has expressed its intent to seek out new partners for future projects.
The leadership at both IO Interactive and Build A Rocket Boy thanked the community for the anticipation and support shown during the collaboration period.
MindsEye remains available for players on current generation consoles and PC as the developer takes over the long term management of the intellectual property.
