Indie puzzle game MOTIONREC gets an October release date on Steam

A new puzzle action game titled MOTIONREC, which features a unique “recording and playback” mechanic, is scheduled to launch for PC later this month.
The game is being published by PLAYISM and is developed by the studio HANDSUM inc.

MOTIONREC is a recording-based puzzle action game where players must guide the protagonist, a “civilization-recording robot” named Rec, through a devastated world that is ruled by machines.
The core gameplay revolves around the “Power of MOTIONREC.”

This ability allows players to record the trajectory of their own movements, from simple walking and jumping to more complex actions created by interacting with various stage gimmicks.

Players can then play back these recorded movements in a different location, allowing them to reach high places or cross gaps where there is no platform.
The number of times a movement can be played back in mid-air is limited, but this count is refreshed every time the player lands on solid ground.

The game features beautiful and detailed pixel art by the artist m7kenji, and a soundtrack composed by Kyohei Fujita.

MOTIONREC is scheduled to be released for the PC via Steam on Monday, the 27th of October.
