The life-sized, rideable replica of the Pokémon Koraidon, built by Honda, has made its official public running debut.

The “Honda Koraidon” was shown moving under its own power during a ceremony at the Suzuka 8 Hours endurance motorcycle race on Sunday, the 3rd of August, 2025.

The Suzuka 8 Hours is one of the most famous and prestigious motorcycle racing events in the world.

The “Honda Koraidon Project” began as a volunteer initiative by employees at the technology company.

It aims to create a real-world version of the legendary Pokémon from the video game, Pokémon Scarlet.

In the game, Koraidon can transform into a “Sprinting Build,” where it functions as a living motorcycle for the player to ride.

This real-world version is a mobility concept that replicates that form, and was first shown as a static display in Tokyo in March of this year.

The vehicle is built using Honda’s advanced engineering, incorporating balance control technology that was previously featured in the company’s “Honda Riding Assist” self-balancing motorcycle concept.

This allows the Honda Koraidon to stand and move on its own.

In addition to being able to drive, the vehicle’s legs, neck, and face all move whilst it is running, adding to its lifelike appearance.

The debut at the Suzuka Circuit marked the first time the public has seen the project in motion.

A video posted to Honda’s official social media accounts shows the Koraidon smoothly cruising along the famous racetrack during the pre-race ceremonies, demonstrating the project’s ongoing development and success.
