Vash the Stampede’s Iconic Red Coat Inspires New Official TRIGUN STARGAZE Boots
Image by James RichardsonVash the Stampede’s unmistakable red coat has been transformed into a new pair of limited-edition boots, with Japanese fashion brand MAYLA drawing directly from his updated appearance in TRIGUN STARGAZE.
The “TRIGUN STARGAZE Iconic Shoes Objet Boots” recreate elements of Vash’s clothing, equipment and history across a deep crimson design created as part of MAYLA’s latest anime collaboration.

TRIGUN STARGAZE aired between January and March 2026 as the concluding chapter of the anime story that began with TRIGUN STAMPEDE in 2023, bringing Vash’s conflict with his twin brother Millions Knives to its conclusion.

Both anime are based on the world created by Yasuhiro Nightow, whose original Trigun manga began serialization in 1995 before continuing as Trigun Maximum from 1997.

MAYLA has become particularly well known for turning recognizable elements from anime and manga characters into fashion pieces rather than simply applying conventional character artwork, with previous collaborations spanning series including Cardcaptor Sakura and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

That approach is especially apparent with Vash, as the boots use the deep crimson associated with his signature coat as their dominant color before adapting individual parts of his costume into the structure of the footwear.

Natural pleating runs through the upper section, while the collar incorporates a folded construction inspired by the raised shape and flowing movement of Vash’s coat.

Brown straps provide another direct reference to the character, taking inspiration from the bags and holster equipment worn around his outfit.
The “PROJECT SEEDS” emblem also appears across the boots, connecting the design more closely to Vash’s origins and the wider history surrounding humanity’s arrival on No Man’s Land.

One of the strongest contrasts appears around the heel, where MAYLA introduces a bright blue accent inspired by Vash’s prosthetic arm against the predominantly crimson upper.

A long ribbon extends from the rear as another recognizable MAYLA design element, with its movement while walking intended to echo the dramatic silhouette normally created by Vash’s coat.
The references continue inside the boots, where the left and right insoles use different designs incorporating imagery associated with Vash including his glasses and handgun.

Geranium flowers also appear across the interior artwork as a reference to Rem, whose influence on Vash and Knives during their childhood remains fundamental to the beliefs and choices that shape Vash throughout the series.
MAYLA has also created dedicated packaging for the collaboration, with the boots arriving inside a special TRIGUN STARGAZE box decorated with imagery and details drawn from the series.

The “TRIGUN STARGAZE Iconic Shoes Objet Boots” are available in four sizes ranging from 22.5 cm to 25.5 cm and are priced at ¥34,100 (approx. $215 USD / £159 GBP).

Orders are now open through MAYLA’s official online store, with the initial allocation scheduled to begin shipping in early February 2027 and a second production batch currently listed for shipping from mid-February.
