Gundam’s New Graffiti Style Apparel Collection Brings Street Art Style to Classic Mobile Suits

Bandai has unveiled a striking new direction for its STRICT-G apparel line with the launch of “STRICT-G GRAFFITI,” a fresh fashion series that reimagines classic Gundam artwork through bold, street art-inspired graphics.
STRICT-G is Bandai’s official Gundam fashion brand, producing clothing and lifestyle collections that blend iconic characters and Mobile Suits with everyday apparel designed for longtime fans and casual wear alike.

The debut GRAFFITI collection focuses on three of the Universal Century’s most recognizable Mobile Suits, using vivid spray paint-inspired artwork and vibrant printing techniques that give each design the appearance of oversized graffiti murals.

The Gundam T-Shirt, priced at ¥5,830 (approx. $37 USD / £27 GBP), places the RX-78-2 Gundam front and center with colorful layered graphics that emphasize the hero machine’s unmistakable silhouette while giving it a contemporary urban aesthetic.

The Char’s Zaku II T-Shirt, priced at ¥5,830 (approx. $37 USD / £27 GBP), transforms the legendary red mobile suit into a dynamic graffiti-inspired illustration that reflects the machine’s speed and aggression through bold splashes of color.

The Zaku II T-Shirt, priced at ¥5,830 (approx. $37 USD / £27 GBP), rounds out the first wave by giving the Principality of Zeon’s mass-produced Mobile Suit the same eye-catching artistic treatment, balancing military styling with modern street fashion influences.

All three shirts are produced using heavyweight 6.2 oz cotton fabric and feature specially developed printing techniques designed to preserve the vivid color palette that defines the new GRAFFITI identity.
Alongside the GRAFFITI announcement, STRICT-G has also revealed another new premium apparel range, “STRICT-G The Animation,” which takes a different approach by recreating classic Gundam animation artwork on Japanese-made clothing intended to blend naturally into everyday fashion.

Unlike the bold artistic reinterpretation of the GRAFFITI range, The Animation collection reproduces familiar imagery directly from the original Mobile Suit Gundam television series while placing a greater emphasis on premium domestic manufacturing and refined everyday styling.

The Gundam T-Shirt, priced at ¥8,800 (approx. $56 USD / £41 GBP), features the RX-78-2 Gundam in its signature blue colorway with artwork inspired directly by the original animation.

The Char’s Zaku II T-Shirt, priced at ¥8,800 (approx. $56 USD / £41 GBP), pairs Char Aznable’s famous red Mobile Suit with a rich burgundy body that complements the machine’s iconic color scheme.

The Amuro Ray T-Shirt, priced at ¥8,800 (approx. $56 USD / £41 GBP), highlights the original Gundam pilot with character artwork that celebrates one of anime’s most influential protagonists.

The Char Aznable T-Shirt, priced at ¥8,800 (approx. $56 USD / £41 GBP), places the legendary “Red Comet” at the center of the design, capturing the commanding presence that made him one of Gundam’s defining rivals.

The Katz, Letz and Kikka T-Shirt, priced at ¥8,800 (approx. $56 USD / £41 GBP), pays tribute to the trio of White Base children who accompanied Amuro and the crew throughout the original series, offering a more nostalgic design than the other shirts in the collection.

All five shirts are manufactured in Japan using premium cotton fabric and construction intended to deliver the quality, comfort, and silhouette expected from high-end domestic apparel while showcasing artwork drawn directly from Gundam’s animation history.

Pre-orders for both the STRICT-G GRAFFITI and STRICT-G The Animation collections open through the STRICT-G Online Store on Premium Bandai Japan from August 7, with the GRAFFITI range scheduled for general release at STRICT-G stores across Japan on August 11 and The Animation collection following on August 8, while both collections are currently expected to ship during August 2026.

Bandai has not yet announced whether either collection will receive a Premium Bandai US release, although previous STRICT-G apparel ranges have frequently become available through the service after their Japanese debut.
