Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! Anime Announces Cast for Lovable Lunches Leads
The production team for the Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! anime adaptation announced on April 6, 2026, that Kappei Yamaguchi and Junko Takeuchi have joined the voice cast.
Yamaguchi, known for his work in Ranma 1/2, will voice Makunouchi, while Takeuchi, the voice of Naruto, will portray Taku.
These characters originate from Lovable Lunches, a fictional guide used by the protagonist Okuto Nakamura to navigate his feelings for his classmate Aiki Hirose.
The series is currently being simulcast on Crunchyroll, which also premiered the English dub for the first episode on April 1, 2026.
Aoi Umeki is directing the project at studio Drive and managing character designs, following their previous work on Pop Team Epic.
The creative staff also includes assistant director Naoki Yoshibe, series composer Yasuko Aoki, and composer Ayana Tsujita.
Based on the original manga by Syundei, the story follows the socially anxious Nakamura as he attempts to befriend and win the heart of his crush, Hirose.
