Exclusive Gundam NT Gunpla Kit Returns for Limited Pre-Orders
Bandai Hobby has opened pre-orders for a re-release of a highly detailed Gunpla model kit based on a popular mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative.
The “RG 1/144 Unicorn Gundam Unit 3 Phenex (Narrative Ver.)” recreates the elusive golden machine that plays a central role in the animated film.
Real Grade models are produced at a compact 1/144 scale and are renowned for their highly intricate details, utilizing an Advanced MS Joint internal frame to achieve exceptional articulation.
Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative takes place one year after the events of Gundam Unicorn and follows a desperate hunt for the rogue Unit 3, which mysteriously reappeared after vanishing years prior.
The Phenex features a dazzling exterior design that is specifically intended to evoke the majestic image of an immortal golden phoenix soaring through space.
To accurately capture this radiant appearance without the need for custom painting, this release utilizes a stunning gold-plated finish on all of the exterior armor parts straight out of the box.
The advanced engineering of the Real Grade line allows the model to fully replicate the complex transformation between its standard Unicorn Mode and its exposed Destroy Mode.
The kit includes two massive Armed Armor DE units mounted on its back, which act as both high-output thrusters and formidable defensive shields.
The distinctive tail-like stabilizers attached to the Armed Armor DE units utilize internal lead wires to provide builders with a highly flexible range of expressive posing options.
Standard armaments such as the heavy-hitting beam magnum and beam sabers are included to allow fans to recreate dynamic combat sequences from the series.
The model kit also comes packaged with a dedicated sheet of realistic decals to apply various mechanical markings and warning symbols across the reflective gold armor.
Pre-orders for the “RG 1/144 Unicorn Gundam Unit 3 Phenex (Narrative Ver.),” priced at 13,530 yen (approx. $86 USD/£68 GBP), opened on May 18 via the Premium Bandai online store.
Premium Bandai is currently advising that pre-orders are scheduled to begin shipping in August 2026.
