Every major anime announcement from Jump Festa ’26

The landscape of shonen anime for the next two years has been officially defined following a massive weekend of announcements at Jump Festa ’26.
The annual convention provided a comprehensive roadmap for Shueisha’s biggest franchises, confirming production timelines, casting details, and final chapters for some of the industry’s most popular series.

The announcements were dominated by major scheduling shifts for long-running titans, the unveiling of highly anticipated new adaptations, and the confirmation of multiple renewals.
The One Piece franchise headlined the event with significant structural changes.
Toei Animation previously confirmed that the main series will enter a production hiatus from January through March 2026 to improve quality and pacing.

To fill the gap, a new mini-anime spinoff titled CHOPPER’s, featuring the Straw Hat doctor living in the real world, will air during the morning program Mezamashi TV starting in January 2026.

When the main series returns in April 2026, it will officially embark on the long-awaited Elbaph Arc.

Jujutsu Kaisen is also moving quickly into its next phase with Season 3, set to cover the “Culling Game” arc, airing in January 2026.

Chainsaw Man is also set to continue following the theatrical success of the Reze Arc movie, with confirmation that the International Assassins arc is entering production.

Several major series are approaching their definitive ends.
The anime adaptation of Dr. Stone will conclude with its final cour, wrapping up the story of the Kingdom of Science.

Similarly, Kaiju No. 8 announced that a “Conclusion Arc” is in production to finish the main storyline, alongside a spinoff short titled “Narumi’s Weekday.”

The My Hero Academia franchise, having recently concluded its anime run, will celebrate its history by adapting the manga’s final bonus chapter into a special 10th-anniversary bonus episode.

New adaptations were a central focus of the convention, with two rising stars from Weekly Shonen Jump receiving updates regarding their anime adaptations.

Akane-banashi, the acclaimed rakugo drama, will be adapted by Studio ZEXCS, while the hitman-comedy Kill Blue is being produced by Studio CUE.

Additionally, the adaptation of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 7: Steel Ball Run is confirmed as debuting in March 2026, with the full “first stage” being produced as a 47-minute long special episode that will air exclusively on Netflix.

Returning favorites also had a strong showing.
Black Clover is officially set to return with a new season 2026, continuing Asta’s journey after a long television hiatus.

The sports romance Blue Box was renewed for a second season, as was the action-comedy Sakamoto Days.

Looking further ahead, both DAN DA DAN and Mashle: Magic and Muscles confirmed that they have been renewed for third seasons, which will air in 2027.

Finally, in a surprise legacy announcement, Toei revealed the first look at a World Trigger “Reboot Project” that aims to re-adapt the series from the very beginning.
