Bandai has officially opened pre-orders for the latest additions to its Digimon Pendulum COLOR range, introducing two new virtual pet devices alongside a new wave of dedicated storage cases.

The newest releases continue the revival of the classic Digimon Pendulum handheld toys, which first debuted in 1998 as successors to the original Digital Monster series and became popular thanks to their built-in pendulum mechanic.

The latest entries, “Digimon Pendulum COLOR 8 CELESTIALWALKER” and “Digimon Pendulum COLOR 9 ASTRALSENTINEL,” retain the iconic shape of the original devices while modernising the experience with full-colour LCD screens and rechargeable batteries without significantly changing their overall size.

The devices are available in two distinct colour schemes, with Olympus Green for CELESTIALWALKER and Iliad Blue for ASTRALSENTINEL.

Both devices centre around Digimon from the Iliad Digital World and include monsters featured in Digimon Story: Time Stranger together with numerous brand-new additions.

Players can continue to enjoy raising, battling and evolving their Digimon, while the signature pendulum gameplay has been recreated using an internal accelerometer that changes training results and battle attack power depending on how many times the device is shaken.

A single-player battle mode is also included, allowing users to enjoy battles without connecting to another device.

Owners of both new devices can Jogress Apollomon from CELESTIALWALKER with Dianamon from ASTRALSENTINEL to evolve them into GraceNovamon.

The latest releases also introduce convenient support features, including a Cold Mode that pauses a Digimon’s growth while preventing hunger and strength from decreasing, together with a Backup System capable of storing one Digimon for later use.

Digimon stored using the Backup System can also act as Jogress partners when another physical device is unavailable.

Joining the new handhelds is the second wave of the Digimon Case Iremon Pendulum COLOR2, available in Metallic Orange and Metallic Silver.
