Crunchyroll and Delta Air Lines sign deal to bring anime to in-flight entertainment

The anime streaming giant Crunchyroll has announced a new partnership that will bring a selection of its content to the in-flight entertainment systems on Delta Air Lines flights.
In an announcement made on Monday, the 11th of August, 2025, it was revealed that the deal will see a “specially curated” collection of anime series from Crunchyroll’s extensive library made available for passengers to watch in-flight.

Crunchyroll, which is part of the Sony group, has become the world’s leading destination for anime, boasting a massive catalog that includes thousands of titles and tens of thousands of episodes.
This partnership with Delta, a major global airline, marks a significant step in the company’s ongoing strategy to expand its reach beyond its dedicated streaming app and into more mainstream channels.

In recent years, Crunchyroll has aggressively pursued new distribution methods to bring anime to a wider audience.
The company recently launched on YouTube Primetime Channels and has also created a 24/7 linear streaming channel that is available on services like Amazon Freevee and The Roku Channel.

It has also integrated its subscription tiers into Amazon’s Prime Video Channels, allowing Prime members to access the service directly.
This new deal with Delta continues that trend, placing anime alongside blockbuster movies and television shows as a standard in-flight entertainment option for millions of global travelers.

The specific anime series that will be included in the curated collection for Delta flights have not yet been announced.
The company has stated that more details will be shared in the near future.
The new anime offerings are scheduled to become available on Delta flights later this year.
