Chainsaw Man anime set to continue with International Assassins Arc adaptation

The anime adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man will continue with the “Shikaku Arc” (International Assassins Arc).
The announcement was made during the series’ stage panel at Jump Festa ’26 on Sunday, where the production staff unveiled a new teaser visual and promotional video for the upcoming project.

This continuation follows the recent theatrical success of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, which covers the story arc immediately preceding the newly announced International Assassins Arc.
The film opened in Japan on September 19, debuting at number one and displacing the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle film after a nine-week reign.

As of November 30, the movie has grossed approximately 9.28 billion yen in Japan.
Sony Pictures Entertainment handled the international distribution, with the film earning an estimated US$17.25 million in its North American opening weekend before receiving a digital release on December 9.

The television anime originally premiered in October 2022 on TV Tokyo and is streamed globally by Crunchyroll.
The original manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, which has over 30 million copies in circulation and has won three consecutive Harvey Awards, is currently in its second part, serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service.

The Chainsaw Man reveal adds to an exciting lineup of announcements from Jump Festa ’26.
The weekend’s announcements included the confirmation that One Piece will enter the Elbaph Arc in April 2026, and the final part of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is scheduled for July 2026.

Black Clover and Blue Box also confirmed 2026 release windows for their next seasons, while DAN DA DAN and Mashle: Magic and Muscles are set to return in 2027.

Additionally, Sakamoto Days was renewed for a second season, My Hero Academia announced a 10th Anniversary bonus episode, and World Trigger fans got the first look at a “Reboot Project” starting from the series’ beginning.
