Bandai Launches New “Gundam Miximize” Buildable Mini Figure Line

Bandai has announced a brand-new line of articulated construction toys called “Gundam Miximize”.
This new series focuses on an easy assembly process by utilizing a minimal number of parts while still maintaining a wide range of motion for dynamic posing.

“Gundam Miximize” was revealed at Shizuoka Hobby Show 2026, where Bandai also announced eight new Gunpla kits, including new G Gundam, Gundam X, and Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans releases.

Unlike standard Gunpla model kits, which often require specialized tools like nippers and feature highly detailed, complex internal structures, the “Gundam Miximize” line is designed as a more accessible model kit style experience aimed at builders ages eight and up.

A core feature of the “Gundam Miximize” line is the ability for fans to easily swap and recombine components between different figures to create their own custom mobile suits.
Each figure also includes a miniature pilot that can be placed inside a designated cockpit area located in the chest of the mobile suit.

The first wave of the lineup features three iconic machines from across the Gundam franchise.
The “Gundam Miximize RX-78-2 Gundam” represents the classic Earth Federation mobile suit and comes equipped with a standard beam rifle and shield.

The “Gundam Miximize MS-06S Char’s Zaku” captures the bulky aesthetic of the famous Zeon commander unit and includes two distinct weapon parts for combat poses.

The “Gundam Miximize ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam” features fully articulated wing parts to replicate its aerial maneuvers alongside its signature rifle and shield.

Despite the simplified assembly and play-focused features, initial reactions from the community have highlighted that the new miniature figures are somewhat pricey when compared to traditional model kits.

Standard High Grade Gunpla releases are generally larger in 1/144 scale and often cost the same or less than these new “Gundam Miximize” figures, positioning this line as a uniquely premium addition to Bandai’s toy catalog.

The first wave of “Gundam Miximize” figures will go on sale at toy retailers across Japan on September 26, 2026.

The “Gundam Miximize RX-78-2 Gundam” and “Gundam Miximize MS-06S Char’s Zaku” are priced at 2,750 yen (approx. $18 USD/£14 GBP) each, while the “Gundam Miximize ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam” is priced at 2,970 yen (approx. $19 USD/£15 GBP).
