Bandai Unveils Eight New Gunpla Kits During Shizuoka Hobby Show 2026

Bandai has revealed a massive lineup of new Gunpla model kits during the 64th Shizuoka Hobby Show, featuring mobile suits from multiple series.
The “HG 1/144 Gundam Virsago” headlines the reveal as a complete recreation of the menacing mobile suit piloted by Shagia Frost.

This diverse wave of reveals features iconic designs from After War Gundam X, which follows a post-apocalyptic struggle for survival, and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, which centers on the gritty battles of child soldiers from Mars.

Fans will also recognize suits from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM film alongside the martial arts-focused Mobile Fighter G Gundam and the high-stakes interventions of Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

The kits are spread across the core lines of Bandai’s Gunpla range, with new HG, MG, and FULL MECHANICS kits all having been announced.

High Grade (HG) kits provide builders with detailed 1/144 scale models, while the FULL MECHANICS and Master Grade (MG) lines offer larger 1/100 scale builds with enhanced mechanical complexity.
