Atomic Owl Arrives on Consoles May 20

Publisher eastasiasoft and developer Monster Theater have announced that the side-scrolling roguelike action platformer Atomic Owl is set to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on May 20, 2026.
The console release will be priced at $12.99 or €12.99 and features a 10 percent discount during its initial launch period.
On the same day, a PC version will arrive on the Microsoft Store with full support for Xbox Play Anywhere.
This upcoming release follows the game’s initial debut on PC via Steam, which took place on July 31, 2025.
The new console editions will include various rebalanced features and bug fixes to improve the overall gameplay experience.
A significant addition to this version is the more accessible NO ROGUELITE mode, which allows players to enjoy the title as a traditional side-scrolling adventure without permanent death mechanics.
The story follows Hidalgo Bladewing, a bird who must rescue his companions from the villainous void crow Omega Wing with the help of a talkative, enchanted sword.
Atomic Owl features pixel art visuals and fast-paced hack-and-slash combat across eight diverse zones.
Players can utilize a variety of weapons including hammers and whips while also taking flight in specialized winged sections.
The game includes a fully voice-acted cast to bring the dynamic dialogue between Hidalgo and his demonic blade to life.
