Umamusume and KFC Reveal Gold Ship Colonel Sanders Collab Costume Reward
KFC has shared new details for its latest Umamusume: Pretty Derby collaboration, giving fans a closer look at the exclusive menu sets, collectible bonuses and in-game rewards arriving when the campaign begins next month.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby is Cygames’ hit multimedia franchise that reimagines famous racehorses as anime-inspired girls competing to become top racers, with the series spanning games, anime and manga while building a huge following both in Japan and overseas.
The collaboration was announced earlier this week and this latest update reveals exactly what fans can expect from both phases of the event, including physical collectibles and exclusive content that can be redeemed inside the game.
The first collaboration menu, the “Umamusume Umama! Cobb Mayo Dip Set,” launches with the campaign and includes one randomly selected trading card from a collection of 18 different designs.
The second collaboration menu, the “Umamusume Umama! Carrot Otchahoi Set,” arrives later in the campaign and includes one randomly selected collectible button badge from a lineup of eight designs.
Each collaboration menu also includes a serial code that can be redeemed in Umamusume: Pretty Derby to unlock the exclusive SSR support card “[Take a Big Bite, Smile] Red Desire” along with recovery items inspired by the KFC collaboration menu.
The celebration extends into the game itself with a special login campaign offering free Jewels, a KFC Original Chicken Barrel recovery item and a new collaboration song titled “Gabutto!”.
Players will also see Umamusume characters carrying and enjoying KFC meals on the game’s home screen during the event, while special missions will reward Gold Ship’s exclusive Colonel Sanders-inspired costume, “KFC Goodwill Ambassador Gold Ship”.
Pricing for the collaboration menu sets has not yet been announced, but they will be available through participating KFC locations across Japan beginning on August 12, 2026, with the second phase launching on September 9, 2026.
