The definitive figure of Dragon Ball’s Frieza is getting a re-release

Pre-orders are set to open for a definitive action figure set featuring one of the most iconic villains from Dragon Ball Z.
The “S.H.Figuarts Frieza First Form & Frieza Pod” is making a return to retail shelves after an almost 5 year absence.

This figure captures the galactic tyrant Frieza in his initial form, as seen during the Namek Saga.

Originally released in 2021, the figure was produced under the supervision of the series creator, Akira Toriyama.

The set is packed with accessories to recreate famous scenes from the anime, including a Scouter, a five-star Namekian Dragon Ball, and effect parts to replicate his devastating “Supernova” attack, though perhaps the most notable inclusion is the Frieza Pod.

By swapping the upper body parts, collectors can display Frieza riding inside the iconic hover vehicle.

Here is the full list of accessories:
- Main body
- 4 Interchangeable face parts
- Interchangeable head parts
- 2 pairs of interchangeable hands
- Scouter
- Dragon Ball (5-star) Namekian Ver.
- Supernova Effect Parts
- Frieza Pod and Stand

This release coincides with a massive wave of 40th-anniversary celebrations for the franchise.

Voting recently opened for the first-ever global character poll, “DRAGON BALL THE ONE,” which pits 212 characters against each other in a survival format.

Collectors can also look forward to the upcoming “Ichiban Kuji DRAGON BALL 40th ~Part 2~,” which features figures of Goku, Vegeta, and Shenron.

For those visiting Japan, the world’s first permanent “DRAGON BALL STORE TOKYO” also recently opened its doors.

The “S.H.Figuarts Frieza First Form & Frieza Pod” is priced at 9,900 yen (approx. $64.35 USD / £51.00 GBP).

Reservations are scheduled to open at general retail stores, such as HobbyLink Japan, on December 5, 2025.
The figure is scheduled to be released in August 2026.
