The Apothecary Diaries Movie Reveals Its First Official Figures Ahead of December Premiere
The first official merchandise for “The Apothecary Diaries: The Deceased Empress’ Treasure” has been revealed, providing fans with an early look at the movie’s collectible lineup months before the film arrives in theaters.
Based on the light novel series by Natsu Hyūga, The Apothecary Diaries follows the intelligent apothecary Maomao as she solves medical mysteries and uncovers political intrigue within the imperial palace alongside the enigmatic Jinshi, with the franchise becoming one of anime’s biggest recent success stories.
The upcoming theatrical film, “The Apothecary Diaries: The Deceased Empress’ Treasure,” features an all-new story written by Natsu Hyūga and follows Maomao and Jinshi as they travel south to escort the remains of a concubine who passed away five years earlier, uncovering another mystery along the way.
The first confirmed merchandise will be part of Bandai’s popular Ichiban Kuji lottery line and will feature the first figures and merchandise inspired by the upcoming movie.
Leading the collection are the A Prize “Maomao Dioramiquemaster Figure” and the B Prize “Jinshi Dioramiquemaster Figure,” which mark the debut of an all-new figure series.
Both figures show the characters in elegant seated poses surrounded by detailed scenic bases featuring flowers, wooden platforms and flowing water effects.
The Last One Prize features a standing Maomao figure wearing her outfit from the movie, shielding her eyes from the sunlight while standing on a decorative base with flowing water and floral details.
Bandai has confirmed that additional prizes from the C through H tiers will also be included in the lottery, although those items have yet to be revealed.
Each “Ichiban Kuji The Apothecary Diaries: The Deceased Empress’ Treasure” ticket is priced at ¥800 (approx. $5 USD / £4 GBP) and will be available through participating retailers across Japan.
The lottery launches on December 5, 2026, shortly before the theatrical debut of the film in Japan on December 11.
