The adorable Sonic x Sanrio collab’s exclusive plushies are about to go on sale
A new range of plushies based on the collaboration between the animated series “SONIC & FRIENDS” and the popular “Sanrio Characters” is set to go on sale.
The collaboration features six unique pairings of characters from both franchises.
- Sonic x Hello Kitty
- Tails x Cinnamoroll
- Amy x My Melody
- Knuckles x Kuromi
- Shadow x Hangyodon
- Dr. Eggman x Pompompurin
The full lineup of new merchandise is as follows:
- SONIC & FRIENDS Sanrio characters – Plush M (6 varieties)
- Price: ¥4,950 (approx. $33.50 USD / £26.75 GBP)
- SONIC & FRIENDS Sanrio characters – Mascot (6 varieties)
- Price: ¥2,420 (approx. $16.35 USD / £13.00 GBP)
The new items will be released in an advance sale at Sega’s first-ever flagship store in Japan, the “SEGA STORE TOKYO.”
To celebrate the launch, a special character greeting event will be held at the SEGA STORE TOKYO on the release day.
Fans will be able to meet both Sonic the Hedgehog and Hello Kitty, who will be appearing in a special Halloween costume.
The advance sale of the new collection is scheduled to begin on Friday, the 31st of October.
It has been noted that the “Shadow x Hangyodon” items will have a later, general release on Thursday, the 11th of December.
The event will be held at the SEGA STORE TOKYO, which is located on the 6th floor of the Shibuya PARCO building in Tokyo.
Due to the high demand expected for the launch, entry to the store will be restricted via a numbered ticket system from Friday, the 31st of October, to Monday, the 3rd of November.
