Taito reveals best look yet at stunning upcoming AMP+ Frieren figure
Taito, a Japanese arcade game and prize figure manufacturer, has revealed the best look yet at an upcoming figure of Frieren from the anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
The figure will be part of Taito’s “AMP+” brand, which is dedicated to its top-tier prize figures distributed to amusement facilities.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End (Sōsō no Frieren) is an anime adaptation of the manga series, which gained significant popularity for its unique take on the fantasy genre.
The story follows the elven mage Frieren, a member of a hero’s party who defeated the Demon King, as she grapples with the passage of time and forms new connections after her human companions have passed away.
The series is known for its reflective tone, detailed world-building, and engaging character designs.
Taito’s “AMP+” line aims to offer collectors a higher standard of quality in prize figures, which are typically obtained through crane games in amusement centers/arcades within Japan.
The upcoming Frieren figure is designed to capture the elven mage in a combat-ready pose.
It prominently features transparent effect parts and dynamic sculpting of her hair, intended to convey motion and magical energy.
Additionally, various sections of her flowing outfit are adorned with metallic paint, indicating a detailed approach to both sculpting and painting to achieve a high-quality finish.
This figure will be distributed as a prize in amusement facilities across Japan starting from August 2025.
It may be available through some hobby goods retailers outside of Japan for around $30 to $40 USD around 1-2 months after this time, as many prize figure manufacturers now distribute products globally through a general release several months after the initial Japanese arcade/amusement release.
