14 Top Fashion Brands Join Forces for Evangelion Anniversary Apparel

The Evangelion franchise is teaming up with a popular online fashion retailer for an upcoming apparel collaboration to celebrate a massive anniversary milestone.
The “ZOZOTOWN and ZOZOVILLA Evangelion 30th Anniversary” collection features a wide array of clothing from various well-known streetwear and fashion brands.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is a landmark mecha anime that first aired in 1995, completely changing the landscape of Japanese animation with its psychological depth, complex characters, and religious symbolism.

The series follows teenagers who pilot giant biomechanical robots to fight monstrous beings known as Angels, exploring heavy themes of depression, human connection, and existentialism.

The franchise was later reimagined for modern audiences through the Rebuild of Evangelion film series, which introduced new characters, updated visuals, and a completely different narrative direction.
This enduring legacy has kept the series at the forefront of pop culture for three decades.

To honor this 30th anniversary, 14 different clothing brands, along with the retailer’s own ZOZOVILLA label, have created special apparel based on both the original television series and the cinematic rebuilds.
Each participating label brings its own unique style to the franchise, incorporating memorable scenes, iconic dialogue, and character color palettes into their designs.

The resulting lineup includes graphic t-shirts, comfortable blankets, stylish jackets, and more, blending anime aesthetics with everyday streetwear.
Fans attending the “EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION” festival at Yokohama Arena in Japan can view these pieces in person at the sponsor booth.

This three-day event will showcase the history and future of the series through various exhibits and stage entertainment.
