Stranger Than Heaven Coming to PS5, Xbox, and PC

Publisher SEGA and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have officially confirmed that their upcoming title, STRANGER THAN HEAVEN, will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
The game is also set to join the Game Pass library on its launch day, providing immediate access to subscribers across console and PC platforms.
A comprehensive reveal of the project is scheduled for May 6, 2026, during a dedicated digital broadcast titled Xbox Presents: A Special Look at STRANGER THAN HEAVEN.
This presentation will air at 4:00 pm PT or 7:00 pm ET and promises a deeper dive into the gameplay mechanics and features that have only been teased so far.
New details indicate that the narrative of STRANGER THAN HEAVEN spans five different Japanese cities and five distinct historical eras, specifically 1915, 1929, 1943, 1951, and 1965.
Executive producer Masayoshi Yokoyama described the ambitious scope of the project as a massive undertaking that aims to bring rarely explored times and places to life with immense care.
Recent footage showcased a brutal and highly dynamic combat system that includes weaponry, grappling, and environmental interactions during one versus many encounters.
The developer also highlighted various lifestyle elements such as traveling via city trams, potential romantic subplots, and the studio’s signature high quality rendering of food.
The experience is tied together by an energetic jazz drumming soundtrack, which Masayoshi Yokoyama suggests is just a small sample of the final musical score.
While the cast remains a secret for now, the studio has hinted at an all-star lineup and teased that some familiar faces may have already appeared in recent trailers.
