Stardew Valley publisher’s next game, Witchbrook, has been pushed to 2026

The highly anticipated magic life simulation game, Witchbrook, has been officially delayed.
The developer, Chucklefish, announced that the game’s release has been shifted from its original Winter 2025 window to a new, broader “2026” release.

In a development update, the studio stated, “Witchbrook needs a little more time in the cauldron… It’s a big project, and we want to make your time in Mossport as rich and immersive as possible.”
To soften the blow of the delay, a major new asset for the game has been revealed for the first time: the full map of the game’s world, Mossport.

The large and detailed map showcases the sheer scale of the explorable world, which includes locations such as the “Shadhollow Forest,” the “Parasol Sands” beach, and the main “Witchbrook College” campus.

Chucklefish has also confirmed that all of the colored areas on the map are fully playable areas.
The developer stated that the extra development time will allow them to explore “additional exciting opportunities,” such as adding more supported platforms and languages that were not originally planned.

The studio has promised more development updates in the near future, including a blog post focused on character customization and a new installment of their “The Witchbrook Oracle” series.
Witchbrook is a life simulation game set in a magical school, which is being developed and published by Chucklefish, the company that originally published the hit game Stardew Valley.

It has been announced for the Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and it will also be available on Game Pass.
