Spike Chunsoft unveils first wave of plans for Danganronpa’s 15th anniversary

Video game developer and publisher Spike Chunsoft has announced the beginning of a year-long project to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its popular Danganronpa series.
The announcement was made on Friday, the 25th of July, 2025, and outlines the first wave of a variety of special initiatives planned for 2025 and 2026.

The Danganronpa series is a line of mystery-adventure visual novels that has cultivated a massive cult following for its unique “killing game” premise, where exceptionally talented high school students are trapped by the sadistic robotic bear, Monokuma, and forced to murder each other to escape.

The first major announcement is that a large-scale, in-person fan event will be held in Tokyo.
Further details about this event are yet to be revealed, but it is scheduled to take place in November 2025.

Several new merchandise collaborations have also been revealed.
The “Nendoroid” line of chibi-style figures from Good Smile Company will see the release of a new figure of Hajime Hinata, the protagonist of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.

It was also announced that the series’ iconic villain, Monokuma, will be receiving a redesigned “Nendoroid Monokuma 2.0” figure.

A major collaboration with the amusement facility chain, ROUND1, has also been confirmed.
This event will feature the sale of exclusive merchandise using new, original illustrations drawn by the artist Shidu.

The collaboration with ROUND1 is scheduled to run from the 12th of September to the 14th of December.
To support the anniversary, the series’ official online portal site has been renewed, and a new special website dedicated to the 15th anniversary has also been launched.

These sites will serve as the central hub for all future news and announcements regarding the celebration.
