Sanrio Casts a Spell Over Hatsune Miku and Friends for Magical New Merch Collab

The six Piapro Characters are Crypton Future Media’s virtual singers, with Hatsune Miku becoming an internationally recognized virtual performer since her original release in 2007, later being joined in the Character Vocal Series by Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len and Megurine Luka alongside the earlier MEIKO and KAITO voicebanks.
Created especially for this collaboration, the new illustrations give each pairing coordinated fantasy-inspired outfits, with the artwork appearing across collectibles available for fans to collect.
Sanrio and Hatsune Miku regularly team up to release new merchandise lines together, with one of the most recent being a range of exclusive apparel released through Japanese retailer Shimamura.
For this new magic-themed collection, Hatsune Miku is once again paired with Cinnamoroll for the collaboration, while Kagamine Rin joins Pompompurin, Kagamine Len teams up with Badtz-Maru, Megurine Luka appears alongside My Melody, MEIKO is partnered with Pochacco and KAITO completes the lineup with Tuxedosam.
A sizeable collection of merchandise featuring the new collaboration artwork will be sold at the event, with the available items including:

The lineup spans everything from plush mascots and apparel to acrylic collectibles, stationery, bags and smaller trading items, giving the new magical girl and wizard artwork a particularly broad range of merchandise.
A limited purchase bonus will also be available from the opening day, with customers receiving one randomly selected character fan for every ¥3,300 (approx. $22 USD/ £17 GBP) spent in a single transaction.
The bonus fans will be distributed from August 28 while supplies last, with designs handed out randomly and receipts from separate transactions unable to be combined to reach the qualifying amount.
The Piapro Characters x Sanrio Characters POP-UP STORE will open at Ichiban Plaza in Tokyo Character Street at Tokyo Station First Avenue from August 28 through September 3, 2026.
The store will operate from 10:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., with the final day ending earlier at 6:00 p.m. and opening hours subject to change.
