Seiko Reveals New Edward Elric-Inspired Fullmetal Alchemist Collab Watch

Seiko and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood have teamed up to create a special collaboration wristwatch themed around the series’ protagonist, Edward Elric.
Created by Hiromu Arakawa, Fullmetal Alchemist first began publication in Monthly Shonen Gangan in 2001 and earned widespread acclaim for its compelling characters, carefully crafted narrative, and unique fantasy setting.

The series reached its 20th anniversary milestone in 2021, which was commemorated through a variety of projects, including an original artwork exhibition, the debut of Arakawa’s manga Yomi no Tsugai, and the announcement of a mobile game, highlighting the franchise’s continued popularity.

Dubbed the “Seiko Collaboration Watch Edward Elric Model,” the watch incorporates numerous design elements inspired by Edward and the world of alchemy.

The black dial is decorated with a striking red transmutation circle associated with Edward’s alchemical techniques, while the Flamel’s Cross symbol serves as an additional visual accent.

The watch’s hour markers utilize raised components modeled after the bolts found on Edward’s Automail right arm.

LumiBrite has been applied to the markers at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions to enhance readability in darker environments.

An Amestrian military insignia has been incorporated into the sub-dial positioned at 6 o’clock, further connecting the watch to the series’ setting.

The reverse side of the watch features the engraved phrase “Don’t forget 3. OCT. 11,” referencing the famous inscription found within Edward’s State Alchemist pocket watch.

A stainless steel band has been selected for its durability, resistance to corrosion, and suitability for everyday wear.

Additional functionality includes water resistance up to 10 atmospheres as well as a built-in stopwatch feature.
The accompanying presentation box has been designed to evoke Edward’s iconic red coat through its scarlet-colored exterior.

Displayed on the top of the box is the Flamel symbol, embossed in matte gold foil as a tribute to the emblem associated with State Alchemists.
The packaging also incorporates an English version of the well-known quote, “Stand up and walk. Move forward. You’ve got two fine legs there, don’t you?”.

A three-dimensional display-style structure allows the watch to be showcased while remaining inside the box.
The interior features both the “EDWARD ELRIC” name and the “SEIKO” logo, emphasizing the exclusive nature of the collaboration.

The “Seiko Collaboration Watch Edward Elric Model” is priced at 65,780 yen (approx. $455 USD/ £335 GBP), with pre-orders available through the AMNIBUS official online store until July 22, 2026, and deliveries expected to begin in late January 2027.
